I had an appointment to speak for the Community Chest at the Strouse-Adler Corset Shop at 11:15. I spoke to one group of about 250 and then went to another part of the shop and spoke to another group just as large. I do so hope I made an impression so that they will give generously. Attended Rotary luncheon at Hotel Taft at noon. Mr. Gibson of Camp Becket fame was the speaker. He spoke to us of the youth of today. Home to dinner tonight with T.P.H. After dinner, we drove in town and called on Robert and France Pomaroy, just married.
