Saturday, November 15, 1930 At Colly Davis' in Plainfield, N.J. Raining hard this morning. Went down town with Colly and Terry and we bought twelve yards of green oil cloth to take to the game with us. Had lunch with Bea and Colly then started in their car for Princeton and the Yale game. Fortunately, it did not rain but very little during the game. My, but it was a hard fight. Princeton played inspired football and nearly defeated Yale. Yale finally won 10 to 7. We drove back to Plainfield and had dinner with the Davis' tonight. Ruth Beckley Brown and her husband called to see us.
