Thursday, November 20, 1930 Luncheon this noon at Quinnipiack Club. Tessie called for me early and we came out to supper. Then I dressed and went in to Calvary Church to take part in an entertainment entitled "The Gay Nineties", a sort of an old folks concert affair supplemented by our church choir. I dressed in old style cut-a-way coat, grey trousers, red sock, black pointed shoes, high white collar, gray ascot tie, yellow gloves, high top hat and cane. I sang a solo "Where did you get that hat". We had a lot of fun. Tessie and I took Mrs. Knapp, Mrs. Wood and her mother home in the car. Bert Hodges went on from Harley's to New London, Norwich, and Boston on business.
