Warm and cloudy rain at night. Had lunch at the Quinnipiack Club. Mr. Philip King as my guest. He is president of the New Haven Paint and Oil Club and we were planning the meeting for tonight. Busy all day at the store. Tonight a special meeting and dinner of the New Haven Paint and Oil held at Hotel Taft Parlor B. We had as our guests the associate members of the club. We had a good dinner and a good discussion of the Paint Mans problems. George Eckler brought me home. Meeting of the Board of Alderman of the City of New Haven held tonight to authorize a bond issue of $200,000 to provide municipal work for the unemployed
