Tessie took me in to the eight o'clock train for New York. Rode down with Carl Taylor. Met our Mr. Chamberlain in the Grand Central Station. We took a taxi downtown to look at a wire stitcher for making Sample Books. Went from there over to Walcutt Bros., 141 East 25th St. to see about our covers then walked up Madison and Fifth Avenues to 42nd St. where we had lunch. Then walked on up to the W.H.S. Lloyd Co., 48 West 48th St. We then walked back to Grand Central and caught a train for home. The trains were crowded, people hurrying away for Thanksgiving. Many of them coming to New England. Went to Calvary Church to prayer meeting and a committee meeting of the securing of a new pastor. I then went up to the new Armory on Goffe Street to a Grays party. Harry Hall brought me home in his car. The Yale football team elected Albie Booth captain for next year
