Sunday, November 30, 1930
We got in good season and had breakfast. Then Tessie took me in to Calvary Church School. Mr. Richardson was away so I acted as Superintendent. Attended church service after. Mr. Singiser preached and he gave us a powerful missionary sermon. We went over to the Prattonia for dinner then we came home and I planted some tulip bulbs while Tessie made sandwiches for the tea up to the Spring Glen Club. Later, Alice and Ed Cole came out and we took them over to the tea. Pouring rain tonight and much warmer. I have just finished writing a letter to Sally in Chicago. We sat up till twelve o'clock to listen to a radio program broadcast from the steamer Leviathan out at sea, the first time this had been attempted
