Friday, October 3, 1930 At Swampscott for the second day of the 30th District Conclave. Breakfast began the day, then followed golf and games till luncheon at which Governor Dick Dodge presided. This meal was informal. This afternoon, the ladies and many of the men were taken on a trip to Salem and visited many historical places. Tonight, another banquet and presided over by Governor Dick Dodge. Dancing afterwards in the Ball Room. Bob and Margie Chandler are here from New London. Today is Bob's 30th birthday. "Midge" had a cake made and invited a few friends up to their room for a birthday party. We heartily congratulated them.
