Tuesday, October 7, 1930
Another beautiful day but we do need rain. We are 12 inches of rain below normal. Ralph Fox from Washington D.C. came in this morning. He and I met Bessie Fox at the station as she came in from New York this noon. I took them to the Taft for luncheon. Then they drove down to Bridgeport to see Auntie "B". They met me at the store at six and came out home to dinner. Bessie spent the night with us. Ralph went on to Meriden to spend the evening with friends there
