Did something today that I have not done in a long time. I got up, had breakfast, and drove in town to the store and worked on Wall Paper till noon with Mr. Chamberlain. We wanted to hurry our selections along all possible. Tessie went to St. Paul's Church and called for me afterwards. We had dinner at home and had intended driving up to Middletown to see Cousin Howard and Carrie but the starter on the Packard wouldn't work so we stayed at home. I wrote a letter to Percy and Bert Hodges, sympathizing with them on the death of their mother
