Thursday, October 16, 1930 Cleared again today. Not enough rain yesterday to do much good. Took Fred Halloway to lunch at the Quinnipiack Club today. Had a nice visit with him. He is still out of work, poor chap. Home to dinner tonight then attended Board of Governors meeting of the Spring Glen Club. Accepted the resignation of Jim Caldwall as president (he has moved to Palmer, Mass.). Elected Bill Flint to succeed him and elected A.B. Alling to the vice-presidency.
