Saturday, October 18, 1930 After the rain last night, the morning broke clear a much cooler. In fact, we had our hard frost tonight. I picked all the dahlia blossoms before dark and they were a lovely lot. This is the day of the Yale-Brown football game so as is our custom, we invited the Hanburys down. mr. Hanbury, Alfred, and Mabel came down. We went out to the Bowl in their car. It was a fine day for football, clear and sharp. Yale won 21 to 0. Brown had a fine team but Yale with Albie Booth in the game was just too much for them. Albie made many good gains as well as ran the team well as quarterback. The Army beat Harvard 6 to 0. Cornell beat Princeton 12 to 7.
