Beautiful and clear but cold. Busy all day at the store. Prepared our first "Tear Out List" for the Wall Paper Department. Went down to the Calvary Church to supper then spoke on "City Life" at the assembly afterwards. Then came home to prepare my speach for tomorrow at the Pittsfield Rotary Club. I would liked to have stayed at Calvary as there was to be a farewell reception to Mr. Camp, our minister, who is leaving to accept a pastorate at Oakland, California. I would have liked to be able to attend a reception at the new Spring Glen Church to Rev. Mr. Brown, their new and first pastor. Then again, I wanted to go up to the Armory as the Active Company of the Grays were "throwing a party" for the Veterans. But I couldn't be four places at once so came home and wrote my speach. I hope it will be worth it
