We awoke at the Newell house at Springfield. Had breakfast there. Then I went down to the Springfield store, worked with them till noon. Then went over to the Hotel Kimball to the luncheon of the Springfield Rotary Club. District Governor Dick Dodge made his official visit today and was of course the speaker of the day. He gave a very fine talk. I went up to the city hospital and called on Bob Williams. He is a "T.B." patient there. Called for Tessie at the Newells and drove home. We had supper here at home. I drove in to office to get our mail. It has rained off and on all day. We are hoping for a good tomorrow for the Yale Army game
