Monday, October 27, 1930 Lunch today at the Quinnipiack Club. Attended a meeting of the speakers who will speak for the Community Chest in their campaign next week in the effort to raise $669,740.00. Went down to the station and took the 6-13 train for New London to meet Tessie (who had driven over earlier in the day) and have dinner at the Hotel mohican with Allan and Lena Colvin, Bob and Midge Chandler, and the Colvin's three aunts from Ireland. Today was the Colvin's thirteenth wedding anniversary and Midge's twenty seventh birthday. We had a lovely dinner and a lot of fun.
