Sarah and Peter arrived from Stockbridge, Mass. this morning at two A.M. in "Toby", their old Velie car. They had packed up and left for good. Home now to get ready for Chicago. I drove down to the New Haven Station to get reservations to Providence to go over to Pantucket to Ed Cole's wedding on Saturday. We all had dinner together at home. Vio Powell was with us too. During dinner, who should walk in on us but Paul and Portia Keiser. They were just going through on their way home. I had to leave and attend a meeting of the Spring Glen Club Finance Committee. We are now out for the last ten thousand on our new seventy five thousand club house. So cold tonight that we light a fire in the fireplace
