Tuesday, September 9, 1930 Clear and cool. Attended New Haven Rotary at Hotel Taft. Ed Regan spoke on "Romance of Railroading". T.P.H., Sally, and Peter drove over to East River to spend the afternoon with mrs. Knapp and Aletha Knapp Stone. Larry Stone called for me at the store and took me over to them and we all had dinner together. We had such a nice visit with these old friends. We all rode home in the Packard and Sally and Peter started right in packing their trunks for Chicago.
