Wednesday, September 10, 1930 Very cool this morning. We had a fire in the dining room at breakfast time. Sarah and Peter finished packing. After lunch, T.P.H., Sarah, and Peter called for me and we drove to the station and saw them off on their trip to Chicago. They go to establish their new home and their new fortunes. We hated to have them leave us. Yet, we would not have them stay. They have their future before them. We have for more than twenty six years so carefully looked after Sarah's every need and it seems strange that that privilege now goes to another. But no one we know would we rather give her to than Peter. May God bless and keep them both. Mr. and Mrs. Hall and Mr. and Mrs. Place came down from New Britain tonight and T.P.H. and I took them down to Wilcox's for dinner [Prev](1930_09_09.md) - [Next](1930_09_11.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/1yaU9z2JfVgJFteX8xVwXagjhaphye2c0">
