Sunday, September 14, 1930
Still muggy and sticky. Tessie and I had breakfast at home then drove in town to church, she to St. Paul's and I to Calvary. Mr. Camp preached and had a fine sermon. T.P.H. called for me and we went up to the "Prattonia" to Sunday dinner. We then drove down to Norwalk and called on Fred and Alice Lockwood. They took us up to their new home on Pine Hill Road. It is just wonderful, both the house and the site. We went back to their house and then drove down to Darlan's where we had dinner. Such a fine place to eat. After taking Fred and Alice home, we drove home to New Haven. The traffic on the Boston Post Road was very heavy
