Monday, September 15, 1930 Very very muggy. The moisture just drips. Mr. Fry finished packing Peter and Sally's things on Saturday so I had one of trucks haul it down to the freight station where Mr. Fry packed it into a freight car to start for Chicago. We had a letter from Sally this morning. They are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Willby, Peter's Uncle and Aunt. Tessie called for me tonight and we had dinner at home. Afterwards, we both wrote letters to Sarah. At a meeting tonight of the official Board of Calvary Baptist Church, our pastor, the Rev. Harold B. Camp, announced that he had accepted a call to the Church of Oakland, California at a salary said to be ten thousand dollars a year. --- (Vernon included [newspaper clipping](<Newspaper Clipping from September 15th, 1930.md>) about the Rev.
