A bit clearer but still very hot and muggy. Mr. Llewellan Lloyd of the W.H.S. Lloyd Co. came up from New York today and we signed a contract to continue to handle their imported lines for another two years. I took him to the Quinnipiack Club to lunch and then around the Yale Buildings. We were able to go into the main entrance of the new Stirling Library for the first time. It is simply grand and stately. Went to dinner to night at the Prattonia with the young women of Charles Lincoln's class. It was a sort of goodbye party to Hazel Palmer, who is leaving for Columbia University. I then went up to the new Armory on Goffe Street and watched the Grays drill. I spoke to them, complimenting them on their successful anniversary
