Mother and I got up early and had breakfast then she drove me into town to church school at Calvary. She went on over to the cemetery and put some dahlias on Mother and Father Peck's graves and on Doris' grave and Lois' baby. I attended church also at Calvary. Our Pastor Harold B. Camp read to us his letter of resignation. He has accepted a call to the First Baptist Church of Oakland, California. He asked for his release by October 31st, 1930. Tessie and I met Ed and Alice Cole after church and to them to the Prattonia for dinner. Afterwards, they came out here. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Morse and their Aunt, Mrs. Morse, called on us. very hot and dry today
