Saturday, September 27, 1930 The air is some clearer today but it is still very warm. I worked till one o'clock then we closed. This is the last day that we close for the Summer. Had lunch in town then went out to the Yale Bowl to see Yale play the U. of Maine as the first game of the season. It was far too hot for good football. Thousands of spectators sat in the stands with their coats and vests off. The players just sweat through their clothes.
