Wednesday, April 1, 1931 Rained hard all day long. Had an appointment with my dentist, Dr. Camp, at 8-30 this morning and again at 2-30 this afternoon. He is fitting a new front tooth in my lower jaw. Went down to Calvary Church to supper and held a meeting of my Committee of 21, who were appointed to look up a new pastor. The committee voted unanimously to recommend to the church that they call the Rev Sankey L. Blanton to be our pastor and that we arrange with him to come as soon after May first as possible. Howard and Mrs. Palmer brought me home in their car. We had a letter from Sally today. They have made no new plans for next year.
