Tuesday, April 14, 1931 Another bright clear day but quite cool. Fine weather for us as the house is being painted. "Tony" and a helper is working on the lawn and garden. Begins to look nice already. Attended Rotary meeting at the Hotel Taft today. John B. Dawson spoke on New Haven Charitable organizations. Tessie and I had dinner with Grant and Helen Noble. Grant's mother, Mrs. Runnells, and Mrs. McLanikau were also there. Helen brought us home in her flivver.
