The ladies were serving a business and professional mens and womens lunch. Also attended the bean supper at the church, which was followed by a business meeting, at which as chairman of the "Committee of Twenty One", I made the report regarding the calling of the Rev. Sanky L. Blanton to be our pastor. The vote was unanimous to call him also to have him come as soon after May first as possible and that the "Board" be instructed to appropriate $5000.00 for his salary and furnish him automobile transportation.
