Sunday, April 26, 1931 Rained hard all day long. Daylight Saving Time began this morning. We set our clocks and watches one hour ahead last night. Tessie took me in to Calvary Church this morning in time for church school. She came back in later to St. Paul's Church. I had the privilege of making the announcement in church this morning that the Rev. Sanky L. Blanton had accepted the call of Calvary Church to become his pator and would begin his ministry with us June 1st. We went up to Ed and Alice Cole's for dinner then they came out here for the afternoon and supper. Mother called Sarah at Chicago on the telephone but she did not answer.
