Monday, April 27, 1931 Cold and a very high wind all day today. After the deluge of yesterday. We got up for the first weekday morning on Daylight Saving Time, really 5-30 sun time. Had luncheon at the Hotel Taft with Mr. Gibson of the Becker Smith and Page Co. of Philadelphia, Wall Paper Manufacturers. Tessie called for me tonight and we came home and had dinner at home. Tony planted two pine trees today on our place, one in the back lawn and the other out front near the Northeast corner of the lawn. They are both about four feet tall. --- (There was a [letter from Mrs. C.A. Tuttle](<Letter from Mrs. C.A. Tuttle to Vernon, 1931>) in this page.)
