Sunday, August 2, 1931 Clear and cool and lovely till late afternoon then a shower. Sarah here with us. We all had breakfast together then I drove in to town to Calvary Church. Mother stayed home with Sally. Mr. E. McNeil Poteat Jr. preached at Calvary today. He is the son of a former paster E.M. Poteat, who was pastor of Calvary when I first went there in 1892. This young man reminded me so much of his father. He will be here with us all through August. We all had dinner here at "Glendean". Truman and Bertha Beckley called to see Sarah and her baby things.
