Monday, August 3, 1931 Scorching hot again today. High humidity at 99°. Thermometer 93°. Tessie and Sarah entertained Violette and Lota at luncheon today. Then showed them Sarah's baby things. Then Mother took Sarah in town to see Dr. Musselman. He told her that she had some days to wait yet. They called for me and we came out home to dinner. Very hot. Hard thunder shower later in evening. Mr. Chamberlain and I working on top floor of building. Had to quit on account of the heat.
