Saturday, August 8, 1931 Much cooler today. Ending last night we have had eleven days in succession with the thermometer over ninety degrees. If we had had twelve days, it would have been an all time record. Tessie took me in to the store this morning then later took Sarah in to do some shopping. At the same time, they went over to the New Haven hospital and saw Mary Hall Thompson and Marion Thomas Tiffany, also met Miss Barritt, the nurse who will take care of Sarah. We had lunch at home. I worked for a while weeding our dahlia beds then I changed my clothes and drove down to Indian Point (Brandford) to Arthur Hotchkiss' cottage to a picnic of the E.B. Class. Rev. Dr. E.M. Poteat called at the store today. [Prev](1931_08_07.md) - [Next](1931_08_09.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/194dATITl0eTUhUG9jnjuoRHq_zURUUx9">
