Tuesday, August 11, 1931 Rain most all day with a perfect deluge at night. I let Tessie sleep and got my breakfast in town. Attended New Haven Rotary Club luncheon at Hotel Taft. It was again served in the Ball Room, which is so much more comfortable than the Palm Room. Had dinner down town and went up to the new Armory on Goffe Street to a Committee Meeting of the New Haven Grays 115th Anniversary Committee. It poured whole water when we came out so I rode home with Tom Webb. Sarah went to see Dr. Musselman today and he said it would be several days yet before baby arrived. He said that she was perfectly well. Peter again drove down from Stockbridge, Mass., arriving here at about 2-30 A.M.
