Wednesday, August 12, 1931 Rained all day long. It just poured when Tessie took me in to the store. "Peter" arrived from Stockbridge, Mass. at about 2-30 A.M. to see Sarah. They slept late this morning, had a late breakfast, then after lunch, he drove back to Stockbridge. Harley called me up from Springfield store today. He had come down from Ridge, N.H. He had been up there since last Friday. His family are all there. Home to dinner tonight then drove in to town to prayer meeting at Calvary Church. Mr. E.M. Poteat Sr. took charge. It is so fine to have him back with us if only for a little time. I took Deacon and Jennie Cram and Deacon Grann home in the Packard. Stopped at drug store and bought some ice cream cones.
