Rained hard again today up till about four o'clock. Then the sun came out but it is still sticky and humid. We closed at one o'clock. Tessie called for me and we drove up to the boulevard and called at the home of the Rev. Harold G. Jones, pastor of Plymouth Church. I wanted to see him about the Grays Anniversary Sunday. We had luncheon at home then Sally and I took a walk in the rain up on top of Ridge Road. She needed the exercise and so did I. We had dinner up in the sun room and spent the evening together. Peter called on the telephone from Stockbridge, Mass. I guess wondering if he was to be a papa after all. Harley and Franklin drove up to the lake in New Hampshire for the weekend.
