Friday, August 21, 1931 Cloudy early in the day but but cleared later. Much cooler. Andrew Gibson of Becker, Smith, and Page at store today going over new line of Wall Paper. I had lunch with him at Hotel Taft. Went with Mr. Chamberlain to Waterbury and from there over the mountain to Meriden. Called on customers in both places. Mr. Chamberlain left me at the house on the way home. Mother, Sarah, and I drove in town and sent off my mail. Sarah not feeling any too good tonight.
