Tuesday, August 25, 1931 Another fine day, warmer this P.M. Rotary luncheon, Hotel Taft Ball Room. Drove over to Seymour, Conn. to an evening meeting of the Seymour Rotary Club. Met District Governor Paul Keiser and Don Adams over there and we held a little committee of the Fall Conclave Budget Committee. At seven P.M., Gov. Paul and I sat in on a meeting of the Seymour Club on a matter of classification. I brought Paul back to New Haven with me. Met Portia at the home of a friend then piloted them out of town on their way to Springfield. I arrived home about twelve o'clock and found that Sarah had had an uncomfortable evening and that her pains were gradually increasing. Peter is here with her. We expect that this means that baby has made up its mind to make an appearance. We are so anxious for the safety of them both.
