Friday, August 28, 1931 Pretty good day. Muggy but not too hot. Woke up at the New Haven Station on the sleeper from Boston train. Arrived here at about 4 A.M. but I slept till seven. Got up and dressed and went up to the store then got some breakfast. Went over to New Haven hospital this morning to see Sarah and her baby. She is quite bright and the doctor is quite pleased with her progress. I saw the baby again and he is so precious. Mother will go to see them this afternoon. I drove up to Camp Sequassen near Winsted this afternoon. This is the final party of our Boy Scout Camp for this Summer. I spoke to the boys at the banquet. Drove home arriving about 11-45. The trolly company took the cars off York Street from Elm St. to Chapel Street and will take up the tracks. They are routing the cars down Elm St. and through College Street.
