Saturday, August 29, 1931 Muggy and showery and sticky. Tessie took me in to the office today and about the middle of the morning, I went over to the hospital to see Sally. She had a good night and was feeling quite bright today. The nurse brought in the baby and let me hold him in my arms. Bless his dear little heart. He is so wonderful. Surely a real part of our own dear Sarah. "Bone of her bone and flesh of her flesh". We closed the store at one but I stayed and worked on my wall paper orders till five o'clock when Tessie called for me after being over to see Sarah. We stopped at Violette's on the way over and told her all about the baby. Richmond came in with his Sally. They are so very much in love. Peter came down from Stockbridge, had supper with us, and has gone over to the hospital to see Sarah and his son. The New Haven Aitport was dedicated and opened for the first time.
