Tuesday, December 1, 1931 Cloudy pretty much all day long but no rain. Rotary Luncheon at Hotel Taft this noon. We again met in the Ball Room where there was plenty of room. A Mr. Dreyfuss, President of the United Advertising Co., spoke on "What of Business in 1932". He urged every man to take a personal inventory of himself on January first and find out what he was going to do for 1932. "Albie" Booth, captain of the Yale football and basketball teams, was taken from the New Haven Hospital to Gaylord Farm at Wallingford today suffering with pleurisy. Tough luck for a game youngster. Tessie and I had dinner at home. Yes "diary", I bought your successor for 1932. Who knows what I shall record in it.
