Thursday, December 3, 1931 Fine day. Not quite so cold. Sun shining nicely. Met David Langrock in P. Ring's when I was getting my lunch and we talked about the future of Broadway when Yale University took over the West of our property. We both agreed that we didn't know when it would happen. Tessie called for me tonight. We came home and had dinner then drove in to town to the Shubert Theatre to see Channing Pallock's play "The House Beautiful". Mary Phillips had the lead and she did a fine piece of work. The play was delightful. We did enjoy it so much. We had a letter from Sally telling us about their Thanksgiving trip down to Mason City, Iowa to Peter's father and mother.
