Friday, December 4, 1931 Rained hard all day long. We need it badly too. But I hope it will be clear tomorrow for the most interesting football tournament in the Yale Bowl. Drove in town expecting to drive to Springfield store but the rain looked as though it might start to freeze so I went up and back on the train. Business very quiet at the Springfield store. Came out home on the trolly car. Found Ruth Chandler here to have supper with us. She left right afterwards to go in to the Shubert Theatre to see "The House Beautiful".
