Saturday, December 5, 1931 Clear all day and very cold. Went in to the store on the trolly. The Packard was at the store. Later, I sent George Hyde out after Tessie to bring her in town for the game. Mr. George Hanbury and son Alfred of Newington came down for the Round Robin Football game in the Yale Bowl. We drove out in our car. Had fine seats in portal 15 and enjoyed the fun. Yale played Holy Cross two twelve minute periods and won 6 to 0 then Brown played Dartmouth two twelve minute periods to a 0 to 0 tie. The judges decided that Brown won on points so Yale and Brown played two twelve minute periods, 0 to 0. The judges decided that Yale should be called the winner. During the intermission, the four bands played and the Wiffenpoofs cut up. The whole proceeds of the games is for unemployment relief. The Hanburys came back to the house for supper. Tessie and I went up to Spring Glen Club to a "Roadhouse" entertainment. [Prev](1931_12_04.md) - [Next](1931_12_06.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/1rb7qH9z_TXRR_b10_olobVzKNnujKbbz">
