Friday, December 18, 1931 Another fine day. A good day for the Christmas shoppers but the stores are not too busy on account of the depression. Tessie came into the office at noon and we had lunch together in the lunch room next door. She called for me tonight at six o'clock and we drove down to the Rail Road Station and bought our reservations and tickets for St. Paul, Minnesota to spend the holidays with Sarah and the two Peters. We got some supper in Longley's on Elm St. then came home. I took a package to Mrs. Tower and several of them to the Knapp's. Then I finished addressing our Christmas cards and sent them out.
