Tuesday, December 22, 1931 Arrived in St. Paul, Minnesota at seven o'clock this morning. Pouring rain. Sally and Peter met us at the station. It was pitch dark. We were so happy to arrive and to be with them. We came up to their home. The baby was asleep but he soon awoke and oh "What a boy". He is so precious. Their home here is so comfortable and spacious. Peter took me downtown in his car to attend the luncheon of the St. Paul Rotary Club at Hotel St. Paul but found that the club had held a Christmas party last night. So no luncheon today. Nevertheless, a secretary was there so my attendance is safeguarded. Peter and I had lunch downtown then he took around through the business section. Came home and we all had dinner here with this dear family of our's. It is such a day to be with them and to find them so comfortable.
