Saturday, December 26, 1931 St. Paul, Minnesota. Weather very warm. Natives tell us there should be deep snow and much lower temperature, but it is warm all over the country. We all at breakfast together then Daddy Barker went downtown on business. I stayed here at the house and took snapshots of the baby (hope they come out alright). We had lunch here, all except Peter, who had a luncheon engagement with some of his theatre people. The Barkers got away this afternoon on their way back home to Mason City, Iowa. It was so nice to have had a little visit with them again. Letters from New Haven tell us that the Broadway Bank and Trust Co. and the West Haven Bank closed so as to protect the assets equally for the depositors. Tessie and I went shopping with Sarah tonight. A telegram from New Haven tells us that Bill and Betty Beebe Robb had a daughter, born Thursday Dec. 24th.
