Wednesday, December 30, 1931 To be my last day in St. Paul visiting with Sarah, Peter, and Little Peter. We all had breakfast together then Peter and Sally went to the Playhouse and I went down to the R.R. Station by trolly car and got my tickets and reservations for home. We had lunch at home and then we spent the whole afternoon visiting with Sally and Little Peter. He was so dear. he was most generous with his smiles. He seemed to know that I wanted a great store of them to last till I see him again. We had dinner here all together afterwards. I packed up and at 9-30, Sarah called a taxi and we drove to the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul + Pacific R.R. Station to take the 10-10 P.M. train for Chicago. Peter joined us there and said goodbye to me. Tessie is to stay for a little longer visit with Sarah and the boy. I did so hate to leave them all the dearest to me in the world (God keep them). We bade each a happy farewell till we meet again. I read for a while in Club Car and then to bed in "Lower 7" en route to Chicago and home.
