Thermometer down to six above zero this morning. Kept after the fires till I had the house nice and warm. None of us went in town to church. Tessie had a bad headache. Eleanor (Peck) and I went over to the Spring Glen Church to service. Mr. Brown preached a fine sermon. I helped pass the plates for the offering. We all had dinner at home. Later, I drove in to see Violette. She is more comfortable today and is gaining strength. Lota and Richmond were at home, also a classmate of Lota's at Smith. Went up to Amy Warren's tonight to meet with the nominating committee for officers for the Spring Glen Church. Rev. Victor C. Brown was elected pastor and Dr. Archer, president. We called Sarah on the telephone at Chicago tonight. She is quite well. Wrote to Lillian at Washington D.C. and Sarah at Chicago.
