Wednesday, February 4, 1931 Still cold. Attended Kivanis luncheon at the Hotel Taft as the guest of Henry T. Jones. Had the same menu as we had at Rotary yesterday. Attended a committee meeting at the office of Prof. Hastings North Sheffield Hall, cor. of Prospect and Grove Streets. Carl Northrup and I represented the Boys Scouts. The meeting was to choose a subcommittee of the Community Chest Budget Committee. Tessie, Eleanor Peck, and I had dinner with Grant and Helen Noble also Grant Jr. of course at their home on Lake Place. We had such a good time. I ran away long enough to attend a budget com. meeting at Calvary Church.
