Wednesday, February 11, 1931 A fine Winter day, clear and mild. The city of New Haven in order to give employment to as many as possible had a great host of men cleaning the city streets of snow and ice. Attended a meeting of the Rotary Spring Conference Committee at the Graduate's Club. Home tonight to dinner and spent the evening at home writing and reading. Bought some Valentines today. Sent one off to Sally at Chicago and one to Lota Curtiss at Smith College.
