Rainy and muggy all day. Took the Packard in town and had George Hyde take off the radiator and clean out the scale. Had lunch at Pat Ring's and was busy at the store all day long. At six o'clock went down to Woolsey Hall, Yale University, and met a group of members of the New Haven Rotary Club. Also a group of the Cosmopolitan Club of Yale and we Rotarians were hosts to them at the New Haven Country Club. We had dinner together and then enjoyed a program of short talks by these men from many lands. One each spoke from Germany, West Africa, China, + Austria. Then a native of India and a Japanese sang songs of their own lands. It was all so fine.
