Thursday, February 19, 1931 Snow and rain today. Mrs. Wood still at home with the grippe. "Polly" is helping me out in her stead. Lunch today at the Waldorf, on Chapel and High Streets. Came out home tonight on the trolly. Had dinner at home then went over to the Spring Glen Club to a Board of Governors meeting. We had one of our members appear before the Board to explain his actions at a recent dance when he was drunk and to show reason why the Board should not expel him for conduct unbecoming a gentleman.
